Every year, the Tulsa Designer Showcase invites homeowners to move beyond inspiration boards and into something far more immersive. It’s a home reimagined by designers, builders, and remodelers, each bringing a distinct perspective on how a space should feel and function. Ideas are not just imagined, they are executed. Design shifts from concept to experience.
This year, the team at Powers Design & Build is proud to take part in that experience.
From May 2 through May 17, the 2026 Tulsa Designer Showcase opens the doors to a one-of-a-kind home at 2840 S Victor Ave. Our approach focuses not only on how a space looks, but how it truly lives.
A Home Built for Possibility
The 2026 showcase home commands attention at first glance. With more than 9,000 square feet, six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and a Hawaiian-inspired outdoor setting, it naturally invites bold, imaginative design.
But scale alone isn’t what makes it compelling.
What gives this home its depth is the convergence of ideas within it. Each contributor approaches the space with a different lens, different priorities, and different ways of solving the same spatial challenges.
That’s where the experience becomes more than visual.
As you move through the home, you’re not just seeing finished rooms. You’re stepping into a series of decisions. You begin to notice what feels intuitive, what flows without effort, and what quietly supports the way a space is meant to be used.
Where Our Team Fits In
For the builders behind Powers Design & Build, design never begins with a template.
There’s no default layout. No recycled blueprint. No assumption that what worked before will work again.
Instead, every project starts with a more grounded question: how will this space actually be lived in?
That mindset carries directly into this showcase.
Our goal is not to create something that simply captures attention for a moment. We aim to contribute something that continues to make sense over time, something that feels natural to use, not just impressive to look at.
Because visual impact and livability don’t always align.
And when they don’t, livability comes first.
Design That Works in Real Life
Showcase homes often lean into the theatrical. Bold statements. Striking features. Design choices meant to be noticed immediately.
While those elements have their place, they don’t always translate into everyday life.
That’s why our approach is different.
We think about how a space breathes, how it transitions, and how it supports movement instead of interrupting it. Attention is given to subtle friction points, the small inefficiencies most people only notice once they live with them daily. Then we design to remove them.
The result isn’t always loud.
But it lasts.
Because the most effective design doesn’t demand attention. It earns it over time through consistency, ease, and quiet precision.
No Cookie-Cutter Thinking
One of the most valuable aspects of the Tulsa Designer Showcase is the range of perspectives it brings together.
There is no singular definition of good design.
And there shouldn’t be.
The design-build professionals at Powers Design & Build work with homeowners who aren’t interested in repetition. They don’t want a home that feels pre-scripted or familiar. They want something that reflects how they live, whether that leans simple or layered, bold or restrained.
That same philosophy shapes our contribution to this showcase.
We are not here to echo trends or follow a formula.
We are here to offer something considered, intentional, and functional.
What You’ll Take Away from Visiting
If you’re planning to attend the Tulsa Designer Showcase, it helps to shift your perspective as you walk through the home.
Instead of focusing on what stands out immediately, consider what stays with you.
Which spaces feel effortless to move through?
Which layouts make sense without explanation?
Which ideas feel like they could exist naturally in your own home?
Because the real value of a showcase isn’t just inspiration. It’s recognition.
Recognition of what fits, what doesn’t, and what you didn’t realize you needed until you experienced it firsthand.
A Closer Look at the Experience
The 2026 Tulsa Designer Showcase runs from May 2 through May 17, offering time to explore the home at your own pace.
Doors are open daily except Tuesdays from 11 AM to 4 PM, with extended hours on Mondays and Thursdays until 7 PM for “Meet the Designer Nights.” These evenings allow for deeper conversations and give visitors the chance to connect with the designers behind each space.
The home is located at 2840 S Victor Ave in Tulsa. Admission is $16.22 per adult, while children 12 and under are free with a paid adult, making it accessible for families.
More Than a Walkthrough
What sets this event apart is that it’s not simply a tour of a finished home.
It’s an exploration of intent.
Every space reflects a series of decisions, some bold, some subtle, all deliberate. Whether you agree with those decisions or not, they offer insight into how design thinking translates into real environments.
That’s what makes the experience valuable.
It also becomes a meaningful starting point for anyone considering changes to their own home.
Because once you begin to notice how spaces function, you start to see your own environment differently.
Where Function Becomes the Foundation
At its core, a showcase home represents one interpretation of what a home can be.
Your home is something entirely different.
Different routines. Different priorities. Different rhythms.
That’s why the Powers Design & Build approach does not rely on trends.
It focuses on what works.
Spaces that are used, not avoided.
Layouts that support daily life instead of complicating it.
Details that simplify rather than overwhelm.
Because the best design isn’t the one that draws the most attention.
It’s the one that becomes second nature.
Come See It for Yourself
If you’re in the Tulsa area, the Designer Showcase offers an experience worth your time.
Move through the home deliberately. Take note of what resonates and what doesn’t. Pay attention to the spaces that feel intuitive and the ones that seem to anticipate how they will be used.
If you’re curious about how our team approaches design, this is an opportunity to see that thinking in motion.
Not in a portfolio.
Not in a rendering.
But in a real environment.
